Borden Hunting Rifles are sleek, trim and very accurate. They are built using the same principles that we use to manufacture our award winning benchrest rifles. They average sub 1/2 MOA when appropriate loading techniques, good shooting techniques and wind flags are used. The rifle is built with your choice of an Alpine, Timberline or Rimrock LSR or SSR Custom Action. Barrel size can be from #2 to #5 (for the Remington Varmint Taper and the Sendero taper see the Varmint Rifles section). The stock used on this model is the McMillan Remington Sporter Pattern, McMillan A3 Edge, McMillan A3 Sporter Edge or the Holland Sporter Pattern. Options include barrel fluting, Talley Steel Rings, Machined BDL Floorplate and Black Xylon coating. Other Stock patterns are available. One in particular for those that prefer Monte Carlo style cheekpieces and palm swells is the Holland Pattern Stock. Our pictures show Borden Hunting Rifles that we have manufactured. Some of the pictures have rifles with optional patterns and options.
We are now offering what we describe as "Basic Rifles" as well as the Rifle Packages that we have been offering for years. The "Basic Rifle" is a rifle that has been manufactured with basic features to result in a reliable and accurate yet economical rifle. These rifles are not tested to prove accuracy and come without any loading information. They are manufactured in the same way and with the same care and quality control that is used in the rifles that we test fire. The ONLY difference is we have not tested them to prove the accuracy level and develop the loads. They are priced to be competitive with what others are offering as assembled rifles. We are also continuing to offer our rifles as sub 1/2 moa proven rifles. These rifles have been tested to prove sub 1/2 moa performance using good reloading practices and benchrest shooting techniques. The rifle includes a dummy round and the loading information we used to prove the rifle as sub 1/2 moa. These rifles are Borden Signature Rifles. Descriptions of the Basic Rifles, Signature Rifles, Tactical/Long Range Rifles, and Signature Tactical/Long Range Rifles are listed below along with pricing information and available options. We would also be happy to discuss building a rifle to your specifications using components that you select. We also sell just actions or barreled actions. Call for details.
